The Lights of Yerushalayim
- Lantern -

We welcomed eager participants, each filled with excitement and ready to dive into our April session. It was heartening to see their enthusiasm as they entered the room, ready to embark on another inspiring artistic journey together.

Our theme for the April session, "The Lights of Yerushalayim," captivated their imaginations as we explored the beauty of Jerusalem through a short video. The children were awed by the breathtaking scenery, and they eagerly shared their personal connections to Israel.

The session was an opportunity to craft their own fairy light lanterns using delicate tissue paper and acrylic containers. They stenciled the shape of the map of Israel and their Hebrew initials onto the paper and attached it at the center of the container, symbolizing their profound connection to the land and its people.

From there, each student infused their lantern with a unique expression of beauty using a variety of blue shades of tissue paper. Witnessing their artistic process was truly remarkable. From intricate patterns to shade of blue, each student poured their heart into their creation, resulting in a diverse array of stunning artwork.
